Congress routinely votes themselves pay raises, while the men and women of the Border Patrol are left to figure out pay cuts. Pathetic, I along with other agents have been forgotten by both parties. One for who for many years has become adversarial to Border Patrol agents and the other for ignoring us for the sake of their political party.

If you cut their pay HOW will they make their house payments ? Is Congress ready to throw Border Patrol FAMILIES into the streets with the homeless and have them live on welfare also ???? The Agents put their lives on the line every day they go in to work a shift carrying their badge and guns. This is unacceptable !!! This will force hard-working dedicated agents to leave these jobs so they can support their families and leave the borders unprotected. Does it matter to Congress that agents working on the border have bounties on their heads from doing their jobs by the gun & alien smugglers ? Congress needs to get off their collective butts and give these agents a pay raise. If they leave it won't take long to overrun the border by smugglers & anyone else intent on blowing up buildings in their way.

Our way of life is in jeopardy, our border must be protected. Take care of those that take care of us.

And we expect these guys to be the first line against terrorism and drug cartels at the border. Give them a pay raise.

This really needs to stop Washington. These continual threats to stop paying the ones that protect this country. You want them to come to work without pay plus risking their lives and leaving their families destitute. How can you justify cutting only Border Patrol and not the rest of Homeland security or your own pay for that matter? Seems a lot illegal to me. Have you ever heard of SLAVE LABOR? Can you say "Unconstitutional"? I am ashamed of the people running this country and for the first time in my adult life am embarrassed to say I voted.

Cut your pay 40% DC. Then we can discuss cutting mine.
