With all due respect, we deserve better than these actions against us. I proudly served in the Army and am know in the Border Patrol. I have proudly served my country for more than 15 years and day in and day out give all my best to protect our great Nation "Our United States of America". America was founded and stands for Freedom, Fairness, and Justice above all. I understand that cuts will have to happen, but Please, I ask you, be Fair to our Family, The "Border Patrol". Thank you greatly

Border Patrol Agents should NOT bear the brunt of the cuts imposed on the DHS!

this pay cut should not be done. these agents protect our borders and put their lives at risk to PROTECT the citizens of the united states and this is how the governments rewards them??? by paying them less?? has anyone heard how dangerous our borders are????? if these agents are not there to protect us, then who will??

They plan to save approximately $250 million in these pay cuts. Yet our nations leaders send 100s of millions to other countries in aid. Why do we have aid them. This country is the worlds number one consumer. Other countries should be aiding us. And someone explain to me how (even though it passed) did congress even deliberate over a bill to raise their pay. These people go to work and go home when the work that needs to be done isn't. They goin vacation when men and woman risking their lives try to figure out how to pay mortgages, and worse feed their children. This letter talks about losing 40% but let's not forget the 3% cost of living increase the gov took from them a couple years ago. That's 3% each year. And what's even more sickening is the person who's first proposed these curs sits in an office and makes $170k+ a year. To make matters worse these agents are led to believe that they are restricted from speaking out about these cuts. How can we take money from our nations protectors while we spend millions on remodeling and landscaping the White House. How can we take their pay when we pay welfare to people who drive Escalades and live in $300k homes. How can we deprive their children of a quality life when we have been paying families of inmates in prison unemployment for that person. Yes I know sounds rediculous but I saw it in the news and it was in the millions. Bottom line how can we take care of other countries and why should we when we can't take care of our own people. Start making smart cuts. Start thinking. Leave our nations Guardians alone.
