I vote that each politcian who makes these stupid, uninformed suggestions, serves his country in the military in a sag zone or on borders fighting some of the most ruthless and dangerous drug cartels for at least one month. These people are federal agents protect our borders. They are treated like cap all day and want to go home to their families at the end of their very long day. Please don't take away the security of their family at home. Reducing their pay is an insult to these agents and a threat to the safety of our country. I don't understand why the Border Patrol is always the focus of budget cuts and negative press. These are hardworking men and women who deserve better!REPORT COMMENTS

There are other ways to cut funding...leave these law enforcement officers' paychecks alone! With ISIS trying to make inroads into our country the LAST thing America needs is a weakened ability to defend herself. Reduced pay will force hundreds of agents to leave and reduce the pool of new applicants. Those that stay will be struggling and demoralized that they are so unappreciated by their government. Take a page from the police departments if you need to cut costs and figure out ways to reduce costs without slashing salaries in the interest of keeping our borders staffed and protected and our agents properly paid!!!REPORT COMMENTS
