I personally think that Border Patrol Agents deserve every penny they should get, because it is just like they are in the line of fire when protecting two connected countries. They risk their lives to save others, when they have families of their own. I think each is very brave and I commend them for wanting to do this dangerous job. They are dealing with all types of individual?s and they never know what they may come up against. Border Patrol Agents should be paid like everyone else who protect and serve our countries, communities and public sectors..Mar 31st, 2013Someone from Philadelphia, PA writes:

The myopia in Washington astounds me! Armed Border Patrol are loosing a substantial portion of their salary, one they had for over 25 years, routinely paid and used to calculate their pensions (and mortgages!) This is unconscionable and we demand a favorable resolution for these agents ASAP.REPORT COMMENTS

I am incensed that out politicians would deny rightful compensation to the law enforcement officers who guard our nation's borders. I demand that this process be stopped in it's tracks and that all concerned law enforcement personnel be notified immediately that their future is secure. Most sincerely, Ronald L Baum, Jr.REPORT COMMENTS

This is a shining example of reducing the US capabilities to control or maintain our once great destiny. If the upcoming cuts become reality...I believe this is the "First Shot" a la Lexington, 14 April 1775. There are more significantly gruesome conflicts that may occur upon US soil akin to the periods 1775-1783 & June 1812 through January of 1815 when the bloodshed ended with the Battle of New Orleans on the Chalmette Plantation in present day St Bernard Parish, LA. Stop the madness!REPORT COMMENTS
