The Federal Reserve has violated Article 1 Section 7 Clause 1 of the US Constitution. The Federal Reserve does not have the authority to engage in Quantitative Easing, the purchase of defaulted MBS securities from banks such as JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America as the Federal Reserve can not create money to purchase these MBS assets from the banks. Only the US Congress has the power to tax ... only the US Congress can originate a revenue bill for the Federal gov't. Quantitative Easing is a revenue bill which is originating at the Federal Reserve.REPORT COMMENTS

Whether it is Trey Gowdy or not, we need someone of his caliber wiling to fight for the people and not go along to get along.REPORT COMMENTS

I am deeply disappointed that Speaker Boehner has turned his back on the American people who have tried to support him. I have tried to give him the benefit of the doubt on several of his decisions because he obviously has more insight into the workings of government than I. But this last "infraction" of giving the Administration everything they wanted and thumbing his nose at "We the People" was the last straw. We need a man with moral fiber and the guts to stand up and use the upper hand "We the People" gave the GOP this past November. It's time the GOP gets tough and makes some changes in this country and stops cow-towing to the minority party. I think Trey Gowdy is just person to truly draw a line in the sand that will mean something. He would be a great Speaker for our country.REPORT COMMENTS

NUCLEAR OPTION: One of the reasons Boehner has survived as Speaker, despite his outrageous record of Obama-enabling leadership, is a lack of CREDIBLE CHALLENGE from those seeking his position. He's won past battles for his position as Speaker FOR LACK OF A VIABLE OPPONENT CAPABLE OF DEFEATING HIM. This time around, fellow conservatives in the House can possibly look to Trey Gowdy, Matt Salmon, Jim Jordan, and few others to step up and gather the support from colleagues needed to retire America-betraying John Boehner from leadership. The problem is, if no one with the "gravitas," influence, or experience required to defeat Boehner comes forward when the House elects its Speaker the first week of January, Republicans will have lost all chance of fulfilling their promise to voters of stopping Obama's lawless agenda. HERE'S THE REALITY: As Speaker of the House of Representatives ? and the next in line for succession to the presidency after Vice President Biden ? JOHN BOEHNER IS THE HEAD OF THE REPUBLICAN PARTY RIGHT NOW, a fact the media have accurately pointed out. He wields more influence than any other "establishment" Republican. Considering what's at stake for our country, it's imperative that conservatives BALANCE THE SCALES and draft the ACKNOWLEDGED LEADER OF THE CONSERVATIVE BASE OF THE GOP to replace Boehner. And who would that be? Since the Constitution does not require the Speaker of the House to be a member of that body, but allows the House to choose anyone it wants to lead them; and since strict adherence to the Constitution at this point is the only way to combat Obama's (and Boehner's) dangerous disregard for that governing document, we propose that conservatives in the House draft the most prominent conservative in the nation ? SEN. TED CRUZ ? as Speaker. Think about that: The media have already reported that Sen. Cruz is the "de facto" leader of the House ? due to his behind-the-scenes meetings rallying and guiding numerous GOP congressmen in recent months and years. Conservatives in the House already take their cue from Ted. He's the most influential non-member of that chamber. The obvious solution to the weak-minded, cowardly leadership of John Boehner is to elect the courageous, clear-headed, immensely capable Sen. Cruz as Speaker in January. BUT HE'S A SENATOR... Since the Constitution empowers the House to choose anyone it pleases as Speaker, the fact Ted Cruz is currently a U.S. Senator is no problem. He would simply add "Speaker Ted Cruz" to his resume, without forfeiting his Senate seat. This would solve the disunity and impotence that currently characterize the two houses of Congress ? which typically see things very differently. While Ted Cruz is the darling of House conservatives, he is derided as a disruptive "upstart" and "rabble-rouser" by his Republican Senate colleagues. Imagine the clout Sen. Cruz would wield in the Senate if he were notREPORT COMMENTS
