My husband is a wonderful person who loves his job and believes in his cause it makes me sick every time something like this comes about. These cuts don't just effect our agents they effect their families. This should not be allowed these brave men and women do their jobs and deserve proper compensation for that.May 4th, 2015Someone from Del Rio, TX signed.

My husband works hard, under dangerous conditions. He leaves his family everday, putting his life on the line to protect this country. He dutifully fulfills his oath to a country that does not appreciate what he does. The government has proven what they believe is the worth of an agents job by repeatedly messing with their pay, furloughs Etc. Saying they can't have AUO, taking away over time and just giving them straight pay is unjust! Anyone who works hard and over their hours deserves to be compensated and yet the men and women who defend the borders are not going to be given that. Give them back what they deserve, and get rid of the BPAPRA while you are at it!REPORT COMMENTS

Why are we getting a big cut like this, but politicians that are deciding this really don't care about livelyhood. I can guarantee the ones voting on this can't hang with me and do my job. I work hard and it's dangerous, and alot of untold stories. I don't deserve to struggle more.REPORT COMMENTS

I work hard in dangerous areas and I don't complain because that's what I signed up for. I determined that the benefits were worth it so I signed the contact, but now the contract is being changed. Getting paid less for the amount of work we do. Not many people know how it feels to be alone in the dark chasing dangerous people in dangerous situations. I've have fellow agents die in pursuit of the mission but it seems like no one seems to care. We get use our pay and now some of us won't be able to pay our obligations. I just worry about my family. I live in a remote area where they're aren't an abundance of good jobs for my spouse to get in. many miles from home we have no one other than ourselves to rely on. It's line that for many agents. there is no way to put into writing all the things we feel about our stress and anxiety. We're all middle class here but now it seems we're being kicked down a few notches. At this rate most of us will die working because we won't be able to retire no matter how we plan. That is just to big of a pay cut especially for someone who works for the federal government.REPORT COMMENTS

We risk our lives for this great nation every single day while we work in such dangerous and extreme environements. As Border Patrol Agents, we are held to a higher standard than the general public. We are never "off duty" because it is a constant evaluation of surroundings and search for any danger. There are so many agents who can not live in the same town where they are stationed. Due to the fact of it being too dangerous for our families, not adequate health care or schools. That means we have to commute from a different, larger city just so our families will be safer and have a better schools or health care facilities. I commute 2 hours one way every day I work. That is 4 extra hours a day I miss out on being with my family in order for them to live in and feel safer. We do not deserve this pay cut!REPORT COMMENTS
