As an Agent I have nobody to blame but our weak Union. Try doing this with Customs, there Union has always had there backs. I always believed when we became CBP we were going to merge our unions into one. It's obvious our union sold us out.Apr 18th, 2015Someone from Magnolia, TX signed.

The level of cognitive dissonance and hypocrisy among so-called "conservative" voters and law-makers is astounding. They talk about patriotism, protecting the borders, homeland "security", supporting the troops and military, and all the rest. Yet, they turn right around and quietly start cutting funding to the very organizations they claim to support. This is pure hypocrisy plain and simple. Hasn't anyone figured out yet that the major corporations have them in their back pockets? Instead of bringing taxes on the wealthy back to where they should be (prior to absurd trickle-down Reaganomics), they just "cut, cut, cut" - just as the likes of the Koch brothers want them to (all the while pretending as if they are patriotic). What nonsense! If you really want to be patriotic then vote them out and put in good people who will truly support our troops, police, border patrol, and firemen with their actions in congress and not just their words for political gain! No one ever claimed that government by the people and for the people would be perfect, but we can certainly work to make it better by electing far better representatives than these clowns.REPORT COMMENTS

This is an attempt to weaken border security. Republicans in congress who rail about border security are silent on pay cuts that are demoralizing this agency.REPORT COMMENTS

The cuts are misplaced. They should be shouldered by members of Congress who have done such a poor job of passing legislation to protect our borders.REPORT COMMENTS

What a shame it is to live on the Border and see every day what these agents go threw. My husband has been in for over 26yrs, and has been dedicated to protecting our borders. He has done this for our kids, and now our grandkids. And all of the years he and all other agents has done, this is a slap in the face. This pay cut will cause several agents to lose their house, lose vehicles, struggle to pay the water bill the power bill. And the list goes on and on. How can we let down our arms, and allow this to happen. Every day he goes out, and risks his life to make it safe for American Citizens!!! And how are they suppose to go to work, and want to do the work they have been doing with a 25% pay cut??? They say, it is your job it is not about the money!!! That is some lousy excuse, to try and make the agents want to work, for free. That is like saying it is not Shit, it is the way you look at it. It is a chocolate bar!!!!! So we are all worried, what are we going to do. Will be be able to afford food today, will be be able to put gas in the vehicle that we need to go to work, and the list goes on and on. They think we are stupid, and not know that congress and the washing staff are spending millions and billions of dollars , with the crisis on the border. Anywhere from purchasing hotels to house them in, all of the food and medical attention, etc is going into taking care of the immigrants that they are catching. So lets take care of them and not the brave men and women that are out there keeping it safe for all of us. What a lousy way for United States, and not to mention we are just asking for another 911 to happen. Congress, Senate and White House- get the **** off of your*****and come to an agreement before September 7th.REPORT COMMENTS
