Cutting wages from the ones who are putting their lives at risk on a daily level..... not knowing what dangerous task they will be met with from drugs/cartels, felons, terrorists or just simply the hatred faced from other countries. This is not right. We do for our country but our country is not doing for us. They are not putting us on their priority list. Start by cutting wages from senators or top officials in D.C.May 7th, 2015Someone from Poteet, TX signed.

Why does our country continue to treat our true heros this way? Our veterans, our police officers and the protectors of our borders. This needs to stop!REPORT COMMENTS

This is a disgrace to the people who work to keep our borders safe. Where's your pride in stating that our nation is safe? When the people that are keeping it safe are being shafted. I would cut the wages of our Senators and Government officials who do don't seem to be doing much and still getting paid for nothing. These men and women deserve a fair and honest wage for the work they do and not some pay cuts that would under mind our nation's security. How can you think of cutting their salary when they are the ones protecting our borders? If anything we should be making it a priority to increase their wages for the job-well done they do for our nation.REPORT COMMENTS

How about you cut back on your little fame parties at the White House and use the money to pay those protecting us! Good grief!REPORT COMMENTS

ICE Officers and Agents are also facing the same cuts!!! We also never get cost of living adjustments. We lose about 2,500 a year to inflation alone.REPORT COMMENTS

Under ICE I've lost $15,000 a year over the past 5 years due to less enforcement and, therefore, less overtime. We're being told (not asked) to continue to cut back, reduce spending, eliminate overtime - and the cost is enforcement. Meanwhile, our insurance premiums go up, copays go up, and congress gets free healthcare and triple our salaries and have security details that I'm sure aren't being told to cut pay. Put the DHS executive staff and congress on the border for a month. See how many start crying after a couple shifts.REPORT COMMENTS

What are we coming to when we destroy the very infrastructure of our country? This proposal needs to be stopped immediately. These men and women sacrifice enough already. I am ashamed of our lawmakers if this this is not corrected.REPORT COMMENTS
