The CR has been passed and my husband is being told at work that he will still suffer a 40% loss to his income. The funds have been allotted to prevent this but the DHS is still planning to punish these hard working agents? This is so wrong! No one can lose 40% of their income and survive financially! My family will most likely lose our house. DHS, please do the right thing.REPORT COMMENTS

Our Border Patrol Agents and their families sacrifice daily for our country. They live in remote and locations. These men and women do not deserve to have their pay taken away.REPORT COMMENTS

After having nine illegals come to our home a few years ago the Border Patrol has finally gotten the situation under control. Please do not subject us to it happening again. WE NEED those agents to keep us safe!!!REPORT COMMENTS

This is an unjust decision of the federal government. These men and women are putting their lives at risk protecting the borders. Forty percent. Where do they get this figure? Since the congress only works part time let them be cut 40% of their pay with no benefits.REPORT COMMENTS

This personally affects my daughter and son-in-law, who may lose their house if these job cuts are not stopped. And it is not because they chose to overspend, but because they are facing pay cuts of 40% in this maneuver.REPORT COMMENTS

Please make DHS explain why they got the money for all the pay in the CR and yet the Border Patrol is still getting a 25% pay cut. No other agency is taking this kind of hit, why is it the Border Patrol is being singled out. No one has explained this to us yet.REPORT COMMENTS

Protecting the United States of America should be priority number one. These agents work tirelessly 24 hours a day and 365 days a year for us. They deserve better than this for putting their lives on the line. The cuts proposed will have dire consequences for our Border Patrol agents, their families, neighborhoods and communities. A big reason why people feel safe in their homes is because of these brave men and women. Undoubtedly, furloughs and loss of overtime will cause more smuggling and threats from those who want to harm this country. I am fearful not only because my husband is an agent and we stand to lose so much financially, but also for my children's safety and that of my country. It is time to stand up and do the right thing.REPORT COMMENTS
