The facts speak for themselves, the National Guard can do a more effective and efficient job with the Apache than can the regular Army. Facts and figures don't lie and if we're talking budget, the scale tips favorably to the National Guards record. Also the National Guard has older, more experienced and seasoned pilots who have proven they can do the job and get it done. Congress can't argue with success and efficiency when it comes to the obvious decision that must me made, that, in the favor of the National Guard, not the regular Army.Nov 23rd, 2014Someone from Hesperus, CO signed.

There are more ways to save taxpayer dollars in other areas of the federal government rather than the military. Keep combat arms in the National Guard. This is another attack on the state's sovereignty by a centralized federal government.REPORT COMMENTS

Taking these Apaches away from a Guard unit who already have these skills flying and support would be a mistake. They are needed for both their Stateside mission as well Federal mission. As an AD AF member I have personally deployed with the 1-211th ARB and have the UTMOST respect for their skills, knowledge and professionalism. From the pilots themselves, to the maintainers and Ops personnel and everyone in between. There experience is needed in all military missions regardless of what level they are at. With all the unrest in the world we need to keep our NG strong and keep them where they belong.REPORT COMMENTS

If you are gullible enough to believe "Big" Army can do a better job with apaches, I have a bridge for sale. Take some time to read through the absurdities, please.REPORT COMMENTS

Taking the Apache out of the Guard is a rash decision based on the effects of sequestration. Also, what comes next? Whats to stop the "Army" from moving all combat forces out of the Guard and into the Active Component. If this takes effect, a precedent will be established. Not to mention the effect the move will have on Soldiers and their families who support the Apache air frame. Namely, Lost Jobs! Moving the Apache to the Active component hurts the Guard and more so, hurts our communities.REPORT COMMENTS

The Guard is the people. The people say no to paying more than double for the attack helicopter capability that the pentagon wants to take from the guard. Money is tight this is a stupid decision by the Army.REPORT COMMENTS
