It's time to move forward with the rest of the country with regards to medicinal marijuana. The health benefits HEAVILY overweigh the risks that this native plant has on people. If alcohol can be consumed recreationally in this country, then marijuana should be legalized for medicinal purposes at the least.Nov 7th, 2012Someone from Owensboro, KY writes:

Industrial hemp creates jobs. Kentucky desperately needs jobs. The first step to industrialization is legal medical use. Save small town Kentucky.REPORT COMMENTS

We have seen the effects, we have seen the results. Medical marijuana provides relief to those who need it. We must move past prior oppression, with our vote may they see the intent of the American people, and citizens of the commonwealth of Kentucky. We are the government and I pray they see our expressed concerns.REPORT COMMENTS

I currently have to take 1000mg of Depakote, 500mg of Neurontin, 100mg of Zoloft, 100mg of Lamictal, and 800mg of Iburprohen daily to treat conditions ranging from epilepsy to bipolar disorder to chronic pain! The taking of these pills has destroyed the lining of my esophagus to the point to where now I have to have a prescription strength ant-acid to combat severe acid re flux. These prescriptions cost thousands and thousands of dollars a month and continue to do more harm than good. If Kentucky became a Medical Marijuana State than I could replace these "Man Made" medicines with a plant that has been used as a natural medicine for thousands of years without fear of consorting with criminals in order to get my medicine. This would not only benefit me financial, but physically, mentally, and emotionally. I know for a fact that I am not the only person in the state that would benefit from the passing of this legislation.REPORT COMMENTS

Pay attention to states like Colorado that have completely eliminated their deficits with such legislation. This petition should be sent to every comp. in the state so everyone has the opportunity to see it.Learn about the issue and decide for themselves.REPORT COMMENTS

Patent 6630507 cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants. Assigined by the united states of America through the department of health and human services. They know that cannabis has many health benifits so its classification as a schedule 1 drug is a complete lie. Just search cannabinoids on pubmed. Cannabis cures everything.REPORT COMMENTS

I've had insomnia since I was a young child. Just trying to fall asleep was a task, I would have had to sit in bed for hours into the night. Sleep aids left me with a sort of hangover in the mornings and I never really liked that. I've been smoking marijuana for the past year and although it hasn't cured my insomnia, I can fall asleep much faster now if I smoked earlier that day. It's also the greatest substance I've ever used to treat my stress, anxiety, and depression. Legalize!REPORT COMMENTS
