Ok, I dont personally smoke marijuana anymore but my wife has a rare brain malformation known as arnold chiari malformation and has went through 7 brain ops over the past two years and just friday she suffered her first seizure and due to the laws she is unable to get the great relief that medical marijuana would give her nad i have written letters before to politicians and they always say im not the one you need tgo talk to or there are other legal drugs out there that can help her well that a bunch of bull because at one time she was on 17 different meds a day and due to all of the side effects she was unable to function so one day i decide to go buy some marijuana and yeah had to be scared to death that i was gonna go to jail or get robbed just to see if my wife could get some relief from it so i get home and she smoked some and it helped so much within a few days she had quit taking all but 3 meds a day and it was like i had my wife back so please help her get some relief please we must get the laws changed at least for people who are sick and just want some relief its insane that they cant have a medicine that will help and for know my wife is back on all of her meds cause she dont want me taking the risk of going to jail or being around the shady people that sell marijuana illegally so please help me get my wife back and give us a normal quality of life she and i both hate this drug coma she is in legally but its that or suffer and we dont want that either the week she smoked marijuana we actually went to the movies and ate dinner out like normal people cause she wasnt going through all the side effects of this stupid medicine from the doctors yes it does keep her from hurting but all she does is sleep her life away so please help anyone who reads this do anything you can to help sick people in Kentucky get medicine that will help them its just doing the right thing for people quit the politics just help people thats your job politicians i dont vote to send you to washington to write me a letter back and say you need to contact someone else i voted for you to help me and my fellow citizens live a good life together so please im begging you get these laws changed pleaseREPORT COMMENTS

Marijuana has been used for thousands of years for it's medicinal benefits. My dad has used it for 20 years or so and I myself find it to be very helpful in dealing with anxiety and pain. Nobody should be kept from living a normal life. Legalizing medical marijuana is the answer! We could more than likely get rid off a huge chunk of prescription pill addiction and abuse. i personally do not smoke marijuana nor does my wife. my intrest and beliefs are very deep in this subject. in 2008 my wife was diagnosed with chiari malformation it is a rare malformation of the skull which will create pressure around the brain stem and continue to even push the brain stem down into the spinal column unless major surgeries are done. my wife has had 6 major surgeries since her diagnosis 5 of which were brain operations. its been a long and painful road for her she has multiple syptoms from the brain damage she recieved from this on a good day she has horrible migrain headaches naseua dizziness and pain all over from the extensive nerve damage from this tragic disease the doctors put her on 17 different meds a day and the side effects from this pill and that pill made life unbareable so i started reading on alternative meds and ran across marijuana so i decided to call an old friend and get some well she smoked it and it was like having my wife back and on top of that she went down to only taking 3 meds a day and it helped her pain so very much so i immediatly went and got more it was enough to last her about 2 1/2 weeks and she smoked a bowl every four hrs or so she wanted to even stay up late and watch a movie with me and wasnt in pain it was awesome she was happy again well it wasnt a 100% fix but it helped and the doctors have gave her everything and none of the pills helped the way marijuana did so all im asking is anyone who reads this please help me and my wife gain a decent qaulity of life due to the laws my wife doesnt want to do it till its legal she has never done any wrong and must feel like a criminal to get a little bit of relief its really insane but the way she sees it is she had rather hurt and me be here and not in jail for buying her some relief so once again please help her please sign any petition and write letters and talk to anyone you may know to help get the laws changed please thanks everyoneREPORT COMMENTS

I was in an auto accident in '05(at 16 years old) leaving me comatose for an entire month and smoking marijuana eases my depression I have over a physical disability, not being able to get a job and not being able to have any schedual to make friends.
