I wish people such as law enforcement and everyone else with authority would pause and really think why marijuana (weed) should be illegal or why it should be legal. Instead of giving us crappy answers on how it destroys our health, and reasons its a gateway drug. Explore your own reasons on why it will hurt or benefit the people. The world revolves on money and legalizing it in Kentucky for medical purposes will only benefit all the individuals who prescribe to the use of marijuana. There are healthy ways to medicate yourselves such as vaporizer and edibles. Inform yourselves and stop listening to inconsiderate and selfish authority figures opinions. The war on drugs has been lost, now we need to find a different way to make money off drugs. The government can pay farmers to grow it, tax it and regulate cannabis just like alcohol. It is no worse and in a lot of ways better than alcohol. Cannabis blocks two of the pain paths (sic) in the brain and could possibly be a better alternative to highly addictive opiates. It is also already used in KY in the pill form, Marinol, to increase appetites of individuals with wasting diseases. Also, hemp is an excellent cash crop that replaces lost cotton and tobacco revenues and the marijuana can be used with a vaporizer to eliminate the lung disease risks associated with smoking.REPORT COMMENTS

Medical Marijuana as well as industrial hemp will increase the economic stability of the state as well as give the farming community a more viable source of income that can be cultivated year round, not just during typical seasons!!! It will also take the power away from the criminal element by giving John and Jane Taxpayer the ability to go in a purchase their product just as they would their alcohol or tobacco and not feel like a criminal. Let us not forget the lesson of the Balstead Act!!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

If it helps then why not legalize it?! Way less side effects than pain medication and it may help stop the abuse of prescription pillsREPORT COMMENTS
