These dealers that are being targeted have a loyal following of customers that keep purchasing Chryslers, Dodges and Jeeps. Dealers like Beckman Motors who's Customer Satisfaction Index is in the top 50 has been there year after year, are the dealers that build brand loyalty. This small hometown dealership in Mt. Oliver, PA has been selling Chrysler's since 1936. They have survived decade after decade by providing excellent sales and service to their customer base. Most employees on their sales and service staff have remained there for over 40 years. A dealership like this one helps a company like Chrysler keep customers through bad products such as minivans that need a $4000 transmisson replacement's at 50,000 miles or some of the bad models of the 1970's Plymouth Volare, or the Chrysler "Lean Burn engines". This dealership a good example of how good old fashioned customer service will lead to future car sales, generation after generation. These smaller dealers cost Chrysler nothing. They buy their own sales brochures, purchase their own specilaized shop equipment, and pay for use of Chrysler's computer network. Another Chrysler argument is that these smaller dealers lower the profit on vehicles sold. Not true, the larger Chrysler dealers with hundreds of vehicles on their lots have always been the culprits in dumping cars for little profit just to clear their bloated inventories. My family has been buying cars from Beckman Motors since the late 1950's. It started with my grandfather and has trickled down throuh all the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. I myself have 3 Chrysler products sitting in my driveway, a 2003 Dodge Ram, 2008 Dodge Charger Daytona, and a brand new 2009 Dodge Challenger. If Chyrsler proceeds with the closure of this dealership, I can almost guarantee that my future automotive purchases will not be Chrysler Products! Please do the right thing and allow Beckman Motors to continue selling Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep products!May 23rd, 2009Someone from Indian River, MI signed.

What wright due you have to tell a PRIVET business owner they have to close when they are in the black and selling autos? I am a small HVAC business owner are we next to be forced out? In the last 10 years my family has purchased 4 new Jeeps, 2 mine vans and 1 used car from my local dealer who has been ordered to close by this oppressive Government. In my 56 years I have all ways owned USA autos. If my local PRIVET dealer is forced to close than I will never buy a auto from a Government run auto company again! GO FORD DO NOT LET THE GOVERNMENT TAKE YOU OVER.REPORT COMMENTS

all who were involved in closing Dealerships should visit some of the terminated Dealers, spend some quality time meeting with the Customers. work with the techs and see why when a consumer returns to the same dealership and brings family and friends in to purchase It not for the product..(there are alot a choices in the auto market) It's a trust that begins from the moment the customer(friend) walks in the front door. and continues to service, to the young lot boys. Bring back the SMALL Dealer. They CARE!! It seems to me that a fair amount of the termintated dealers were The long term MomREPORT COMMENTS

Buy American! How much more American can you get than MOPAR. Why does Chrysler think by cutting their sales force(DEALERSHIPS), who by the way only makes money if are successful selling their product, they can save money. Who in their right mind reduces their opportunities to sell its product and thinks it will make more money? These 40,000 people that are going to soon be out of work Americans, were paid by the Dealerships not the corporation. What criteria was used to determine what dealers were closed. Fiesta Dodge in San Antonio Tx is the most honest, friendly Dodge dealership in town. I have purchased 11 Vehicles from them over the last 15 years. All the others Dodge dealers are extremely dishonest, rude and advertized in a dishonest manner. Fiesta Dodge is in the top 2% in the state in sales and profit, and have been for over twenty years. Sorry it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see this is really unfair and politically motivated because its plain dumb to close one of your best store. They're the only thing standing between me and buying Japanese. Now is Chrysler trying to bounce back from bankrupcy or get deeper in debt and totaly go out of business? That makes me wonder who is really running this country, since capital hill is calling the shots??? Aren't they the ones who got us in this mess to begin with Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac ????????? Now there tell the Big three how to run their businessREPORT COMMENTS
