My family business is the oldest Dodge dealership in Michigan dating back to 1914. It has survived two world wars and the depression, yet is now "rejected" by Chrysler. The American dream is turning into a nightmare! PLEASE HELPMay 21st, 2009Someone from Friendswood, TX writes:
This will not help stimulate the economy. What message are you trying to send with this Bill? Do not even try? What is the point in working hard? Let the Government take care of you and your family? I do not believe that this Bill is in the best interest of the American People or our great nation!! End the madness now.REPORT COMMENTS

These closings should be a last resort. Chrysler SHOULD buy back all inventory and parts from these dearlerships if they choose to force them out of business.REPORT COMMENTS

It's sad that politics is going to be the end of the American dream as we've all come to wish for. What is happening to some of the Crysler dealerships is a crime. I for one will never buy another Chrysler product, IF the demise of the dealerships as planned now is allowed and the company is owned by the government and unions.REPORT COMMENTS

(1) How will Chrysler sell more cars by reducing the number of dealers? (2)I would seriously consider the availability of in-warranty service before buying a car.REPORT COMMENTS

This is not what America is founded on. This country was formed and small business and hard work. NOT goverment intervention. The goverment should not be involved in this.REPORT COMMENTS

Not only has the Obama administration subverted contract law and bankruptcy law by eliminating secured creditors' rights: in the case of Tarbox Motors it appears that the terminating of the dealership is a result of bureaucratic retribution by a Chrysler regional manager and is counter to the best interests of creditors which the court is legally obligated to support. I wish the Tarbox family well. They have served this community well. But this is just the beginning of the "change" that 54% of the voters thought they wanted.REPORT COMMENTS

The federal government should not be involved in transferring taxpayer money to the UAW pension fund, which is what this is all about. The feds are forcing this bankruptcy.REPORT COMMENTS

The corporation needs to take more responsibility for their mismanagement and stop taking it out on hard working people. Bankruptcy is unacceptable solution and hurts way too many innocent people. The company is relieved of their debt on the backs of people who didn't do anything wrong.REPORT COMMENTS
