I have bought only jeeps for the last 20 years... I have bought all of the cars that I have owned sicnce 1978 from Tarbox motors in North Kingstown, RI.. I have bought cars from Tarbox for all those years because of their excellant service, their honesty, and the family atmosphere. The Tarbox family and all of their staff are tops in all they do for their customers.. I have continued to buy jeeps out of loyalty to the Tarbox dealership... If Chrysler decides that Tarbox can no longer sell Jeeps, then Chrysler has lost a long time customer.. I will never again buy another Chrysler product. If the Tarbox dealership stays open and sells another make of car, then that is the brand theat I will buy... The ones that shold be fired without any compensation are the Chrysler execs and the union leaders as in my opinion, they are the ones that have cause this financial disaster..May 21st, 2009Someone from Wilmette, IL signed.

I think this idea is a terrible one. How many middle-class people do you have to destroy with these short-sighted ideas?REPORT COMMENTS

My brother in law Joe Ricci, Dodge dealer, started out on an assembly line at Chrysler Corp. He took a chance and bought a Jeep dealership. He started out poor and has worked hard all his life and builds his dealership from the ground up. This is a family business my sister, Brother Carl, two sons Jay and Andrew will be out of a job. Both political parties are supposed to help small business. I just can?t believe you can hurt my family like this. Especially in this bad economic time at least they will be employed.REPORT COMMENTS

This current administration is an iron-fisted THUG. Chrysler, etc., are whores. I say, "Not with MY money" shall I submit...EVER. The only peaceful way to resolve this is in "2010". After that, LOOK OUT.REPORT COMMENTS

If franchise agreement is in good standing no entity whether government or manufacturer should be allowed to pull that agreement. What happened to our country ?!? Your "word" was a bond, then a handshake was good, then paper contracts took the place of both ( due to an overabundance of attorneys ) now are we faced with "nothing is binding" ?!?!REPORT COMMENTS

If Chrysler OWNED the dealerships, the vehicles, the parts, etc. then they should be able to close those delearshipes that are not producing...but just the opposite is the case. There is no justice in the auto maker's actions and if lawmakers do not stop this outrageous practice then they are just as guilty! CRHREPORT COMMENTS
