What Chrysler is doing to the dealers, employees and customers is wrong. Maybe they should ask Lee Iacoca to lead them back in the right direction. My family has been dealing with the same dealership since the 1970's. We have all only purchased Chrysler (Mopar) vehicles and have enjoyed doing business with our dealership. If they are forced to close so many in the area will be forced to travel great distances just to get a vehicle serviced. My Husband and I are senior citizens and have a great relationship with the employees and most important the wonderful people who service our vehicles. I know I can call them anytime I have a problem and it will be taken care of right away and if need be they will make sure we get a ride home and also picked up when our vehicle is ready. We will have to travel great distances just to have our vehicles serviced in the future and with the economy the way it is today it will cost us a lot more just to have this done. We don't want to be forced to travel out of our area to strangers who do not know us or our needs. What Chrysler is proposing to do is dead wrong. Maybe some of the executives should look to themselves and take some pay cuts, or better yet, stop taking paychecks for a length of time and live on what they have already in their mega mansions with hired help and all. If they can afford to take private planes to Washington when they are begging for money then I don't think taking a pay cut would hurt them at all. It's time they came down from their ivory towers and see how it really is in the every day life of working people. Stop this nonsense and leave the dealerships alone. If you,in your brilliant way of thinking, have to close these dealerships then you should at least buy back all the Mopar/Chrysler items including the vehicles that these dealerships purchsed from you in good faith. It's about time the little man stood up and stand up to the money hungry so called executives in suits who have no idea how the hard working people struggle to survive.REPORT COMMENTS

I was treated with respect at Tarbox Jeep in North Kingstown each time I needed a new vehicle. The only salesman to send me a hand written letter offering his services after an initial meeting came from this dealership. I hope they sort out the politics behind this mistake and remain in business for many years to come.REPORT COMMENTS

Wake up America. If the bankruptcy courts are used to remove viable businesses that are not politically correct, then look out. You could be next. Our tax dollars are paying for this, so they need to get it right!!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

I've been a Tarbox customer for over 15 years. If Chrysler closes this dealership, they are making a poor business decision. Tarbox has represented Chrysler / Jeep unlike any other dealership in New England.REPORT COMMENTS

My Chrysler JEEP dealer is the oldest JEEP dealership in the country, Corwin's JEEP in Hickory, Pa. they are a family owned, community involved, customer oriented great group of people. you will be forcing people to do business w/ people they don't want to. there are plenty of people that want to buy American and keep the business here. you're making it easy for the vultures to cirle and pounce !!REPORT COMMENTS

Stop paying the auto executives such lavish bonuses and save thousands of jobs and businesses at the same time, these dealers have stood by Chrysler for many up and down years, they should be behind the delaers now.REPORT COMMENTS

Why is Chrysler in bankruptcy? They must have more than enough money, because they can afford to close high producing dealerships all over the US!!! These closings are destroying families, towns and the tax base everywhere! What are politicians doing to FREE ENTERPRISE, Mr. Obama?REPORT COMMENTS

I cant believe that we have come to this. Another hit on a small business in a small state. Why does a hard working family business have to get the ax. If it was not for tarbox I would not own a jeep. Chrysler and the government need to know that I will never buy american again. Im truly disapointed in a government that i fort so hard for as a Marine.REPORT COMMENTS
