Chrysler needs to make public the methods by which they chose which dealerships to terminate or not terminate. It certainly wasn't by how successful a dealership may have been.REPORT COMMENTS

Chrysler Corporation as a former employee (District Mgr) and some one who has been in the car business for the past 24 years supporting your products directly and indirectly I find it hard to believe the possible termination of Westminster Dodge. The Bickford family has been the model neighbor, dealer, and representative of Chrysler Corp for as long as I can remember. I bought my first car there and have sent at a minimum hundreds of people to this family because of the way they did business and the fact that they are a family business local and trustworthy this to me is what a New England dealer should be this is not New York or California. As someone who has owned and leased at least 12 of your products currently a Jeep I find it very hard to do business with a company that can throw such a class act and wonderful family to the curb. I hope you will reconsider your decision for the above reasons as well as the fact the Bickford family should be what Chrysler is about family, local, trustworthy, model citizens working towards the American Dream not just another mega dealer blowing out cars with low CSI scores, and no interest in the neighborhood or local people just the next big score. I by no means am trying to tell you how to run your business but in this case as a taxpayer I am making a PLEA for a good decent family business that has represented Chrysler Corp in a positive light for many decades that is something that should not be overlooked.I wish you all the best for the New Chrysler Corp including Westminster Dodge because without them the face and persona of your ?local? New England Chrysler dealer will be substantially diminished. Boston needs a dealership and family like Westminster and the Bickfords not another mega dealer with a big checkbook hiding behind the screen. Thank YouREPORT COMMENTS

Westminster Dodge does not seem like the kind of business that should be shut down. It meets or exceeds the performance metrics put forth by ChryslerREPORT COMMENTS

Kreb's Chrysler in Glenshaw has the best sales staff and service of anyone in the area. Closing them will not be good for the area or for Chrysler.REPORT COMMENTS

I am writing to express my concern at the proposed closing of Westminster Dodge on Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester. Westminster has a great location outside the city of Boston and a great sales record. There seems to be much more going on here, which is scary and pure evil. There are a number of Dealerships that are Making the Grade but are still being targeted. This should be illegal at best...!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

I am writing to express my concern at the proposed closing of Westminster Dodge on Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester. I have been a loyal customer for close to thirty years and have never received anything less than top notch service and treatment from the Bickford family and the entire Westminster staff. Although I have not lived in the greater Boston area for many years I still purchase my vehicles from Westminster due to the loyalty and trust which have evolved over the years as a result of the fair treatment and quality service I have always received. Upon hearing about the closings I contacted Westminster Dodge to express my concerns and was given some very disturbing information. From what I am told the criteria being used by Chrysler to determine which dealerships are to be closed are as follows. I am also including the information I received from Westminster management: Underperforming stores which sell less than 100 vehicles per year. Westminster sold 335 new Dodges in 2008 (175% of their quota) Stores that duel with another dealership Westminster is a stand alone franchise Stores with low customer satisfaction Westminster?s satisfaction score for 2008 was 96.7, one of the highest in the northeast and well above the national average Poor Location Westminster is adjacent to the southeast expressway where approximately a half million vehicles pass by on a daily basis. This news is very disturbing to me as it seems the business reasoning for closing Westminster is at the very best flawed and at worst negligent. I can see no reason for putting dozens of loyal employees out of work by closing a viable profitable business which for many years has been a strong partner to the community as well as a company which has gone above and beyond to provide strong customer service and employs fair standards when dealing with its customers. I strongly urge you to consider the facts and employ whatever resources necessary to intervene in what appears to be an unfair decision to put a strong company out of business while imposing great financial hardship on its ownership and staff and their families.REPORT COMMENTS
