It makes no sence at all to close a business that is not costing the Manufacturer anything. I drive a 2008 Dodge Truck and if is the way they do business it will be my last Chrysler product.REPORT COMMENTS

I agree with the above statement and feel that Chrysler never really had a plan of which dealerships they would close. They must have put names in a hat and drew one at a time. Why not shutoff the dealers that are not true to your brand. The ones I'm talking about are the dealers that have multiple brands that are not true to only Chrylser, Jeep, and Dodge, they also sell foreign cars, GM, and Ford. Why would you want to keep those type of dealers than your true bread and butter dealers that only sell your brand. I have purchased all of my Dodge vehicles from New City Auto Sales in weirton, WV and my Dad purchased his vehicles there before I started driving. I am a strong believer in buying from your hometown businesses, but with Chrysler taking that away from me, I may have to reconsider buying another Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge. I have been loyal to my Dodge Dealer New City in Weirton and have been loyal to Chrysler through the years especially during the late 70's and early 80's, but going forward now I have going to have a hard time remaining loyal when my only "American Car Company" can't remain loyal to their dealers as well as their customers. I can remember back in the early 80's when the government gave loans to Chrysler and paid them back within 5 years. This bailout of 2009 sure doesn't resemble the backbone from the 80's. I realize that these are just words and no one will probably read this, but I really think that Chrysler needs to revisit their position on which dealers they plan on terminating franchises. I have to agree that Chrysler is trying to eliminate competition to raise the prices, because in my immdediate area they are closing Corwin Chrysler and Jeep, which is the oldes Jeep dealership in the US, New City Auto Sales, which is Dodge and Jeep,Pavlik, which is Chrysler and GM,and Sunset Jeep and VW in Stuebenville, OH. Of those 4 dealers I could understand Pavlik and Sunset Motors since they are not true to the Brand. Pavlik sells GM with Chrysler, and Sunset Motors sells Jeep and VW. Again please reconsider and make a more informed decision on which dealers you plan on closing. Maybe New City and Corwin may not sell the number of vehicles that you feel do not meet your quota each month or year, but if you close the franchises that are not true to your brand I think will cause more of an influx of customers to these dealers which in turn will increase their numbers. Thank you for listening.REPORT COMMENTS

I don't understand why Chrysler wants to eliminate all the small dealers and only keep the very large ones that already are doing well. The smaller dealers don't cost the corporation anything because these dealers pay all their own expenses. If we are bailing out Chrysler then we should also look out for the small guysREPORT COMMENTS
