This makes no sense to me. I could understand if these were facilities OWNED by Chrysler, and they were consolidating to cut costs, but these are PRIVATELY owned BUYERS of Chrysler products. To close one store and combine it with one across the street doesn't make sense. I understand wanting to combine all 3 franchises under one roof, but wouldn't having the 3 Chrysler franchises in a dealership where the customer can't cross-shop with Ford, GM and Toyota be a better solution. The government should leave the private businesses alone. If you think that the government can do a good job, drive up I59 north of New Orleans, and check out the HUGE stash of FEMA trailers dry rotting in a pasture along the side of the highway. -

I don't understand how it is helping the economy by closing the dealerships. I didn't understand it was helping to force Chrysler and GM into bankruptcy either. Driving through Kokomo, IN and seeing 3 Chrysler plants closed is sickening.REPORT COMMENTS

I don't even like Chryslers, but what Chrysler is doing is wrong and just doesn't make sense. How will this action add to Chrysler's bottom line and make them more viable. IT WON'T. The action of closing dealerships will do nothing but put Chrysler in it's grave. If prices do go up because of fewer dealerships and less competition amongst Chrysler dealers, this will just drive more customers to purchase from the competition. More money overseas !! What the hell is wrong with Chrysler and any governmental agency or bankruptcy court that would allow this stupid action to take place. These Chrysler dealers would quit if they weren't happy. Leave them alone, you idiots! Chrysler should just do their job.........make a better car and get their union employees to work for a fair wage to get prices down. End of story !!!!!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

This must not be allowed to stand, this is a slipery slope and we ARE SLIDING DOWN IT! The federal goverment is looking for every avenew it can take to set it's self up were. In the future they are in a position to step in and take your business without a fight. In addition it's time to give some pollititions there walking papers. The Dem. control the House & Sen. and continue to allow this to happen. The next time you cast your Vote remember this and send them all packing. That is if you still have the means to drive yourself to the polls.REPORT COMMENTS

My understanding is that this dealership is in the top 12 nationwide. It makes absolutely no sense for this franchise to be revoked. To take a place that is productive and viable and shut it down it ridiculous. My understanding also is that it costs Chysler nothing to maintain this as everything is purchased outright. How can one possibly punish an entity that is doing so well and reward others who are in debt by allowing them to continue?REPORT COMMENTS
