I don't see how closing dealerships and putting people out of work will help chrysler. But then again, I thought the goverment was trying to help business and keep americans working.

I work for Claxton Chrysler in my hometown of Claxton, Ga. I know how much this dealership means to the future of this rural area. We have 11 employees who need to make a living for their families. We are proud to sell Chrysler products...well, not any more. Please explain how you can take bailout money and use it kill off your own dealers. Shame on you. Chrysler has sold it's soul to the Government. This must stop if we want to keep America FREE.

I sign this petition in support of Tarbox Jeep. By far the best staff with the best service in Rhode Island! I WILL NOT buy another Chrysler product if there is no Tarbox Jeep around.

Now I understand Chrysler has found a loophole to the bailout and will be able to pay their chief executives more than the mandatory $500.000 salary set by the government? They will do this by listing these employees as Fiat employees. With Chrysler's bankruptcy, who there is worth more than a $500,000 a year salary? Mr. President, are you watching?

It is ALSO TIME TO STOP PURCHASING FOREIGN MADE CARS, TRUCKS, AND FARM EQUIPMENT. IF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WOULD SUPPORT THEIR OWN NATIONAL ECONOMY INSTEAD OF THE ECONOMY OF THOSE COUNTRIES WISHING TO DO US HARM, WE WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN IN THIS TERRIBLE SITUATION. SUPPORTING IMPORTS OVER OUR OWN GOODS CAUSED THIS MESS. INSTEAD OF BAILING OUT THE BANKS AND THE AUTO INDUSTRY, THE AMERICAN PUBLIC SHOULD BE GIVEN THE BAILOUT MONEY TO PURCHASE AMERICAN GOODS. IF WE DECIDED TO PURCHASE AMERICAN PRODUCTS, WE GET MORE CASH FROM THE GOVERNMENT TO DO SO. IF WE CHOOSE TO PURCHASE FROM KOREA, JAPAN, CHINA, ETC. THEN NO CASH TO PURCHASE THOSE FOREIGN IMPORTS. IF I AM GIVEN $10.000. TO PURCHASE A $28,000.00 DODGE CHALLENGER, OR NOTHING TO PURCHASE A NISSAN ALTIMA, GUESS WHAT I AM GOING TO BUY. THIS IS COMMON SENSE ECONOMICS. MAYBE IT IS TIME TO LET GOVENMENT STEP AWAY FROM BUSINESS SUBSIDY AND GIVE THE TAX MONEY BACK TO THE PEOPLE TO SPEND.
