It would be devastating to the state of Rhode Island if Tarbox, a well known reputible car dealership, should be forced out of business. Please reconsider this decision!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Tarbox Motors has been the only Dealership I have ever dealt with that treated me as if I truly mattered and continue to do so to this day. It would be devastating to have this dealership close. WHERE WOULD THIS COUNTRY BE IF THERE WAS NO DEALERSHIPS YOU COULD TRUST AND KNOW THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT AND CUSTOMERS?! Tarbox Motors needs to be saved from this horrible reorganization Chrysler is doing. If they didn't spend money on over extending themselves, Chrysler wouldn't have needed any bail out money and STILL threaten to close the Best Dealership I have ever found in New England! IF THIS GOES THROUGH, DO WE GET BACK THE BAIL OUT MONEY AND SAVE THE TAXPAYERS? NEVERMIND, I KNOW THE ANSWER, IT'S NO!! (what a shocker right?!)REPORT COMMENTS

For many years I have had the pleasure of working for the Alley family at Alley's Chrysler Dodge in Kingsport, TN. We are a profitable well capitolized dealership founded 60 years ago. Our owner has been named "Time Magazine Dealer of the Year" in 1995 and 2009. In a industry with a poor reputation, our dealership family has prevailed by doing business the right way. Chrysler has rewarded us by Termination leaving many much smaller, underfunded, lower volume dealerships all around us in 3-5000 person communities. This will leave 50000 people in Kingsport without a dealer to service their Chrysler products. Please stop the assault on our local economy!REPORT COMMENTS

OK, here's my story. I bought an '05 Magnum RT from Allen Samuels Dodge. 550 miles later, transmission goes out. After inspection dealer stated water in trans, car flooded, call Ins. co. Not the case. From the factory, wrong fill tube in trans, allowing water to seep in. Tech bulliten issued at the time to that effect from Chrysler. Dealer thought I was some dumb schmuck that would call Ins. co to report flood claim. Wrong! My wife's cousin was on the design team for this car. My wife called him and he is the one who alerted me of this. I even asked the service manager if he checked the fill tube to see if it was seated properly as I did not drive thru high water. His response "We have a whole shop full of flood cars here" So after being notified of the "Tech Bulletin" he played dumb. I complained to Chrysler by phone & in writing. After raising hell and threating to bring a local news advocate to their site they offered to by car back. Well that would leave me with no car and a financial loss. My wife's cousin got a transmission shipped out to the dealer. I liked the car, minus the gas tank the size of a fish bowl, so I accepted a repair. I took over 3 weeks to get my car back, incurre a $950.00 rental bill which Chrysler would not pay. I raised hell for a month and got about half of that bill reimbursed. Bottom line. Chrysler didn't care I spent $34,000 for a car, defectively made and that their 5 Star Dealer tried to pull the wool over my eyes. So as far as I am concerned, Chrysler can rot in Hell!!! I was ready to have a party as rumor had it that this particular dealership was going to get the axe. I know nothing about your dealership, but 85% of all dealerships in business are a bunch of theiving hyenas that prey upon people that don't know any better. American Car manufacturers have built an inferior product for since 1988 and "MOST" dealers gave poor service & support to the customers who bought the crap the manufacturers made. The result, those who got tired of poor quality cars and arrogant service flew the land of the rising sun. Better cars, better service, plain and simple. Now you may be a up and standing business in your comunity, most small town dealers are, but Chrysler as a company, deserve the fate they dealt themselves. I am sorry their failures are falling on those who are reputable. This problem really hits home in middle america. Coperate America and the current administration of this country do not care. Anyone that thinks they do is well, they probably voted for the baffoon in charge. Anyway, good luck in your fight. William Burns KAaty, TXREPORT COMMENTS
