Chrysler and the government want an auto Wal~Mart without the low prices. Mega stores serve themselves, NOT the consumer. This is legalized thievery. The government has enabled a new kind of terrorism. The kind that robs the working people of their lives and wealth in the name of capitalism. It appears that the domestic terrorists reside in DC and Detroit. 4000 dead on 9/11. 50,000 killed on 5/14.May 20th, 2009Someone from La Grange, IL signed.

It is time to quit being "liberal and fair" to other countries by allowing them free enterprise at American expense. Other countries place tariffs on imported items why don't we??? We are allowing an American Icon to fall and supporting our enemy. HELLOREPORT COMMENTS

Attention Congress! This process of shutting down dealerships is further evidence that there is a world power elite intent on gaining absolute control of the planet. Control of money through the Federal Reserve banking system is not enough for them. They will use fear to enslave this nation. Tear down the Federal Reserve and give control of the money supply back to the people and the Federal government. We've allowed these bankers to saddle us with debt while they've plundered and stolen our national and personal treasure. The revolution is long over due - string up Bernanke, Geitner, and every executive of the Federal Reserve banks (they are not Federal nor do they have any reserves)REPORT COMMENTS

This is ignorance at its finest...the government gives Chrysler $5 billion in American Tax Payer's money and now Chrysler wants to put thousands of those tax payers out of work?REPORT COMMENTS

Closing dealerships is insane. Dealerships purchase cars directly from the manufacturer - so they get their money for the car. If the dealers cant sell the cars, then let the market determine the future of the dealerships - NOT the manufacturer OR the GOVERNMENT.REPORT COMMENTS

The weak will not survive but they should not die by the hands of their Parents. Most of these stores have been in the same family since day one & should die a honorable death or live as they always have lived...with honor & support from their communityREPORT COMMENTS

I THINK THAT CLOSING THESE DEALERSHPS ARE THE LEAST OF CHRYSLERS PROBLEMS! PLEASE THINK ABOUT THE OWNERS AND ASSOCIATES WHO WORK IN THESE SHOPS. THE TAXES THAT ARE PAID TO LOCAL COMMUNITIES AND THE CAUSES THEY SUPPORT AND DONATE TO. I THINK WHAT IS HAPPENING IS A CRIME AND UN- AMERICAN! YOU MUST RE-CONSIDERREPORT COMMENTS
