Matt Thomas, his father and grandfather have served Chrysler/Dodge for the past 72 years. For no reason, except perhaps for political mileage, Chrysler has terminated the Thomas dealership. Dozens of people will lose their jobs, a franchise worth millions of dollars will be valueless and the community will lose invaluable support. All this as a result of a termination of a business that costs Chrysler/Dodge nothing. This is wrong and unamerican and must not be allowed.REPORT COMMENTS

you really know how to pick the best time to do something like this. the massive job loss, the lousy economy, and putting more people on the unemployment roles is really bad. i hope someone comes to their senses and sees trough this terrible injustice for all the people that have done nothing wrong other than try to build a life for themselves and their familys only to be thrown out of work and try to find a new job in this feeble economy. please come to your senses and stop this blatant abuse of government power.REPORT COMMENTS

Relating to Thomas Sales & Service in Bend, OR losing their franchise after 72 years.......As a lender that tried to provide them with their flooring line, the Thomas brothers remained loyal to Chrysler when Chrysler was down, and as third-generation owners, stayed that way even though alternative inventory financing would have saved them tens of thousands of dollars a year. It is a sad day when a business can be taken without compensation.REPORT COMMENTS

You are terminating a top Jeep dealership in RI. How does that make any sense if Chrysler wants to be profitable. Don't think the remaining dealerships will pick up the slack. If they were any good they would be the top dealership!! Am I just seeing things or are there more Jeep dealership being terminated?? Bottom line, you will lose even more customers. Good bye US car companies.REPORT COMMENTS

Tarbox Jeep in North Kingstown, RI has been wonderful to deal with, if this or any other dealerships in my area close, where am I suppose to go to get my services done on my vehicle? They have been like family. I can bring my daughter there with me while having services done and it is so entertaining for her. Please seriously reconsider how Chrysler is choosing to handle what dealerships they want to close!REPORT COMMENTS

My husband sells cars for Flanagan's, a locally owned Missoula dealership. Flanagan's has been run and owned by a trusted, ethical family for 25 years. Their main, top-selling vehicles are Jeeps. Flanagan's has many loyal long-time customers in the community and their name has always been synonymous with Jeep. They have recently been informed that Chrysler wants to terminate their franchise, a move that would be hugely detrimental to their business. It's possible that it might put them out of business entirely. My children and I depend on my husband's income, most of which comes from his commisions from selling Jeep vehicles. I supported the bailout of the automobile industry and implore anyone who can to not allow them to bail out on Flanagan's, my family and the other good people who work alongside my husband every day. Please don't ignore this. The future of my family depends on your support. Thank you.REPORT COMMENTS

What the success or failure of the dealer have to do with Chrysler manufacturer? They BUY the cars! Thought this Country was for free enterprise. This is disgusting to think that the government, hiding behind bankruptcy laws, can shut down any business it so desires. Scarey!!!!REPORT COMMENTS
