AS AN EMPLOYEE OF A CHRYSLER DEALER FOR 12 YEARS I HAVE GIVEN EVERY EFFORT TO LIFT UP THE CHRYSLER NAME IN QUALITY SERVICE, I AM AWARE THAT DEALERS COST CHRYSLER NOTHING TO HAVE AND ALSO ELIMINATEING THEM BASED ON A MISSUNDERSTANDING OF DEMOGRAPHICS BRINGS NOTHING BUT JOB LOSS AND DISCONTENT WITH EVERYONE FROM CONGRESS TO CHRYSLER, NOT TO MENTION THE BLANTENT MISSUSE OF MY TAXPAYER MONIES TO BAIL OUT FAILING COMPANIES.May 20th, 2009Someone from Greenville, NC signed.

The attempted actions by Chrysler against long term business partners is criminal. This is an extreme abuse of court protection and an insult to the American people. Allowing this will set a president for any company to follow and ultimately cause extreme expense and harm to the consumer. The callous dropping of longtime loyal dealers in the name of cost reduction is absurd. Chrysler wishes to steer all consumers to mega centers where price and selection will be strictly controlled. Please do not allow this.REPORT COMMENTS

AS AN OFFICE MANAGER AT A SMALL TOWN DEARER THAT HAS BEEN CUT BY CHRYSLER THE 25 JOBS HERE ARE NOW AT RISK. I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR 26 YEARS AND THE DEALERSHIP HAS MANY LOCAL TIES. THE NEAREST CHRYSLER STORE IS OVER 20 MILES AWAY FROM US CAUSING LONGTIME CUSTOMERS HARDSHIP IN GETTING WARRANTY WORK AND SERVICE DONE ON THEIR VEHICLES. CHRYSLER IS COSTING THE STATES AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TAX REVENUE FROM THIS ACTION. AFTER DEALERS HAVE INVESTED THEIR LIVES AND MONEY INTO THEIR STORE AND TO JUST BE TOLD "GOODBYE", THE NEW CAR INVENTORY IS YOURS AND SO ARE THE PARTS, GOOD LUCK SELLING THEM, WE DON'T CARE. STOP THIS CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Let these dealers go broke on their own! Maybe they won't and even the idiots who own Chrysler may survive. This decision is unjust and truly NOT the American Way!REPORT COMMENTS

I think it past due when some of the Washington insiders need to be sent home for good to think over their actions. It is time for a new crew to run the government. They have totally forgotten why they were elected. Let's see if they can figure out why they will not be re-elected.REPORT COMMENTS

The smaller dealers don't cost the manufacturers anything: dealers pay for the brochures, any advertising, and the vehicles are floor-planned by the dealer's bank, so the reasons given by the CEO's and bureaucrats don't add up (as usual). Americans aren't stupid and they know BS when they hear it.... many of us see this as just another example of how ridiculously insulated and out of touch executives and politicians really are when it comes to living in the everyday world of working Americans. These people we've elected to represent us just "don't get it" ---- many have never had to run a small business while dealing with increasing expenses & taxes, or choose between buying groceries or paying the heating bill. The loyal customers should have the final say in this matter!REPORT COMMENTS

This is wrong. You are hitting at the solution, not the cause. The American Way should be to let the market determine who survives, who dies and who thrives. This is is rewarding those that caused this mess!REPORT COMMENTS
