I have been in the Retail Auto business for over 35 years, my father has been in it almost 70. I was a Chrysler dealer fo 20 years, having sold out in 2003. I personally know and have done business with over 90 of the dealers on the termination list. I know that the vast majority of them are dealers of the highest quality. They run their operations well...and at a profit. At a time when our government needs good businesses, why on earth would we shutter these businesses and put their employees out of a job? This is foolish!May 19th, 2009Someone from Andreas, PA signed.

This decision if made will unemploy alot of people not to mention the fact that alot of people will not have access to service their vehicles in there areas. If this decision to close down the dealerships who may I add pay for there own vehicles, promotions, etc. it will ruin American families who are employed with these companies and the families who owns these vehicles will have a hard time to maintain there investments. I think that it would benefit the economy to keep these dealerships open. Thanks for listening.REPORT COMMENTS

I was forwarded this petition by one of the many Chrysler dealers that I know that received a termination letter last week. I don't know that we can help him or any his brethren, but I do know if we don't try, NOTHING will happen. Whether you are on the good list or the bad list, whether you are a domestic or an import, or whether you are a dealer, vendor or finance company, or a friend of one of the involved parties, please click through the link and electronically sign the petition that will send an e-mail to your U.S. Senators and your Congressman. It will only take a minute to help someone, and you never know, next time it may be you needing the help. Best regards,REPORT COMMENTS

This action by Chrysler, supported by the Governments Auto Task Force is sickening. Most of these dealers "stepped up" when the calls came from Chrysler over the past several months to help save the company. Now they are being treated like unwanted dogs! There is no way they can sell off their inventory and parts in a few weeks time. Many of these dealers have signed personal guarantees on their floorplan. This will cause an avalanche personal bankruptcies. Reverse these actions immediately, give them time to unwind their operations with dignity or have Chrysler buy back the inventories with Goverment support.REPORT COMMENTS

The Chrysler & GM financial troubles are not the fault of the government but, closing so many GOOD DEALERS is the fault of the government. Closing our local dealers really is going to hurt our town and county with the loss of jobs and the loss of tax revenue. It's just one more nail in the coffin of rural America. Does no one in Washington know what it's like to work for a living?REPORT COMMENTS

Flanagans Motors of Missoula has certainly earned the right to continue their Jeep franchise. They have effectively promoted top of mind awareness for Jeep and their franchise in Western Montana. Jeep is an important piece of their business plan. To arbitrarily remove it is unconcionable. John Roemer, Roemer's Tire Factory, Missoula,MTREPORT COMMENTS

Private business is what built this country. Chrysler Should not be allowed to terminate a dealer. The dealer if profitable will survive. Chrysler shouldn't be able to force a dealer into failure.REPORT COMMENTS
