This is first time I recall justifying a business technique that raises prices to the consumer. ompetition made America strong. Let the market place decide.

The auto business drives the American commerce, I said for years that the auto business failed so would America. Congress build the people around the business not the business around the people, quit spending money on third world countries. There is a war in your own backyard, fight that war first. Our troops gave their life so we could have freedom. Quit wasting money in other worlds, save our world first, that is the American workers.

Let the Dealer's decide if they can maintain business. They are a customer. They BUY the cars from Chrysler. And if forced to close - Chrysler SHOULD be obligated to help with inventory. Or just like everything else lately - let the government buy it! Hey, why not start another task force that we the tax payers have to pay for. It is to the point where every business and every person should just file bankruptcy and let's all start over. This whole BIG GOVERNMENT intervention MUST STOP. The Obama administration and the Democratic Congress is destroying America and the American Dream brick by brick. I also want to add that I don't believe the President has the right to FIRE a CEO of a car manufacturer. Let's do something about the UAW. They have been sucking money out of workers for too many years. They had their place years ago...but that is over. Who needs them? I am sick of Washington...where are your paycuts? You haven't been doing your job and most of you should be fired! I wouldn't have a job if I had performed as well as you all are! Term limits, paycuts, give up some of your pensions and benefits (private plane trips, dinners, weekend retreats). WHERE ARE YOUR CUTBACKS? I think you should all have to come and live in Michigan for a month or two and see what it is really like. It is not just the automakers who are to blame...YOU, our government share the blame as well. I hate watching the news, listening to your partisan crap and your glorious speeches. Action speaks much louder than words. Am I better off than I was a year ago or 4 years ago? NO!!! HELL NO! I wish I could buy one of those cars and help Chrysler or GM...but guess what? I can't get a loan! I owe too much in credit card debt and my once excellent credit rating (800+) is now in the low 700's and getting lower everyday. I can't refinance a house that I now owe too much on, my flexible spending has been taken away, I have a job making almost half of what I did before - you know out of work due to the auto industry after work 16 years fro a supplier who had no more concessions to give other than let people go/buy them out. So, ask yourself...What have you done for our country? Made a mess! Those of us who pay our bills, go to work everyday, pay more for healthcare, gas, taxes and so on can no longer afford to retire, take time off from work, relax and enjoy life. The stress level and anxiety is higher. Thank God, and yes I do literally mean God, that I can speak my mind. Freedom of speech is about all we can afford anymore. Got a little off track, but it all is related anymore.

The Corruption of our Government will ultimately end in a revolution of the people if this lack of responsibility persists.

Clearly, something needs to be done in the auto industry but this is not it. I don't agree with continuing to feed a problem but punishing the dealers is not the way to make the issue go away ~ find something else that doesn't further destroy the buying abilities of the middle class.

dealers are not a cost to the manufacturer. we pay for our parts, cars, our buildings and realestate, and advertising. if we didn't do this, it would cost gm and chrysler billions to do what we do them for free!! they are using bankruptcy to shed the fair obligations that are allowed through state laws. if they do terminate, the dealers should not be left with parts and cars, signage and special tools with which are useless. this will cause many personal and company bankruptcies. let the free market wind these down in an orderly fashion without creating more havoc in our market

The terminated dealerships PAID Chrysler Corp for EVERY VEHICLE, EVERY PART and INTERST on ALL FLOORED INVENTORY. Not only does this NOT SAVE Chrysler money IT COSTS THEM MILLIONS. P/s - another 40,000 and their families and friends who will NEVER own another Chrysler product.

Our Dealership was not terminated, but I definitely feel for any that were. This is the wrong way to do business and the govt has put many people out of business and created a huge job loss.

I am a terminated Chrysler Dealer. This is the most underhanded thing I have ever seen. Dealerships need a parts return and vehicle buyback.

Come on people it is time to do the right thing. Stop all this worthless attempts at pulling the wool over the citizens eyes. Cut out the crap already! It is criminal what the Congress lays on the country. Being elected out of office isn't enough stimulus to have you people do what is right.

I am one of the 789 Chrysler dealers that they have elected to reject. We dealers are chrysler's customers. We do not cost the manufacture anything, in fact we pay them. We are in america and should be compensated or given an ownership interest in the new chrysler. Even eminant domain you get fair market value. Let natural attrition take care of the weak or bad dealers and let those of us who have a lot to loose at least have a fighting chance to succeed. There are reasons for state franchise laws. The bankruptcy laws are in place for a reason and should not be altered for a quick emergence. Everyone should share in the resturcturing or the company should just close completely. I feel I have been defrauded and stolen from and my interest and money has been given to the new chrysler, the uaw, and the dealers who were not rejected. Thanks Charles Rashid
