The dealerships that are closing are essential to the economic infrastructure of a small town and the fallout will have a ripple effect with further consequences that may lead to the implosion of small town viability. Unfortunately the best run dealer operations are falling victim based on arbitrary factors such as location. A restructuring plan that encourages investment in the industry while retooling product, distribution and cost saving measures would maintain a venture capital spirit that drives our economy and showcases innovation and its rewards - you know, the stuff that defines America.

Government bailout? That's for sure. They're bailing out on America as fast as possible. At a time when we're at our lowest, here comee good ol' Big Brother to stomp us down... again. I love this country, but I'm embarrased by what our "leaders" have been doing to it. It's about time they "man up" and start taking care of the country that they're charged with protecting. Welcome to the Corporate States of America, where everything is for sale, including it's people. By the way, what ever happened to " government of the people, for the people, by the people"? Our country's founders would be ashamed of what you greedy politicians & bloated corporate big-shots are doing to America - I know I am, and you should be too.

Again another example of Government taking care of big business and penalizing the little guy. The rich get richer and the poor are taken care of and it all comes from the middle class!!! This is a hard working and caring company who take cares of it's customers and employees. Where is the reward for working hard and playing by the rules. Tarbox didn't ask for a bail out like FORD, GM, & Chrysler!!! They made they business thrive through hard work!!! Something that the other big businesses should look at!!!!

We are a new family of two little girls that come to love there home now only to deal with the realization that we might loose it because there daddy has lost his job. I just can't figure out why we were promised a "change" and help in Detroit but all we have gotten is poverty and depression. Shutting down Detroit only for a few months will have a negative result in the end.

As the owner of Jeep purchased from Verona Jeep in Verona, Pennsylvania, I am very disappointed in the decision to close this dealership that has been around for 55 years and is an integral part of our small community. To have the dealership and its employees punished for doing their jobs with professionalism, courtesy and respect is a complete and total slap in the face. Why should these dealers have to pay for the mistakes that were made by Chrysler. The dealers held up their end of the bargain, and now are being punished.

We're mad as hell and we (the majority population) are not going to sit back and take it anymore! Hope you enjoy your short stay in office, cause it's coming to an end.

I want to say what a great dealership Century Dodge in Taylor, MI. is. They have a wonderful staff in all departments!!!.They are very dedicated to their customer's. I don't know how they can be closing down in such a short notice. There is no reason for this. They are needed in this community.I bought my vehicle there because of how I am treated and the convenience of them. What a shame they are closing!!!

We are all concerned about the economy. Putting more people out of work does not seem like a very good answer to me. Was it not the idea to save the Big Three in the first place? After all, we are talking about the American made cars. Will we succumb to products MADE IN CHINA as with everything else. Please think this over carefully. Accountability, preservation and pride are at stake here. Will nobody take a BET on the United States Of America? Will no one invest in the future of our people?

The management of Chrysler is to blame for the bankruptcy. It is time for the government to put the blame where it belongs. The DEALERS did not cause the bankruptcy. If anything they helped to try to prevent it by trying their best to sell products that should have never been brought to market. This is wrong in so many ways and the Government should not allow it.

I live in Verona and I bought a car from Verona Jeep. I have dealt with dealers over the years but I would have to say that Verona Jeep and its employees are dedicated, hard working individuals and whenever I take my care in for servicing they listen to you and handle the work in a very efficient manner. It would be a great loss to Chrysler to terminate such a dealership.
