This is horrible. Chrysler plans on shutting down One of the best dealers down in Verona Jeep. For all of my life since I was able to purchase a vehicle, I bought from Verona Jeep. They have always given me great service, were always attentive to my needs. Being a family owned buisness for 55 years, means nothing to the government, or the morons who run Chrysler. How do you figure that these dealers cost you money? I would love to see all of the higher ups salaries, and either get rid of them like they are doing to the dealers, and see how they feel. Now I will be stuck going to a pompous dealer who cares only about himself and what you can do for him. Not what he can do for you. I will NEVER purchase another Chrysler made product again. And the part that makes me sick in that Chrysler is sticking these dealers with their inventories. Maybe the Chrysler big wigs should get their paychecks with VOID across them, unable to get their bills paid...... and see how they react. And we are stuck with 3.5 more years of this Government, It is only going to get worse. Verona Jeep, thank you for being a top notch Dealer. Too bad the decision makers at Chrsyler sit on their brains and do not realize this fact.REPORT COMMENTS

Closing this local, family run dealership in RI is just wrong and unfair. Tarbox Jeep in RI has provided me with great service and does not deserve to be treated this way. I don't appreciate having to bail out huge corporations with my tax dollars and then having them decide to close my dealership! This needs to be stopped. Tarbox has done nothing wrong. I can't understand how this could help the economy in RI.REPORT COMMENTS

I feel this is wrong and this is whats wrong with our country today. It seem,s the working person does not stand a chance unless you step on toes and cheat. We have a wonderful Dodge dealership here in a small town that is honest and dependable and has done nothing wrong, but work hard so now they must be punished.REPORT COMMENTS

Closing of Chrysler dealers will put several of my family members out of work, their whole careers have been with Chrysler, this act is destroying not only car dealers but tax payers lives. We always buy Chrysler and now will not have anywhere close to home to service our vehicles. Don't punish the little people to save the fat cats.REPORT COMMENTS

What Chrysler is doing to the local dealerships is a disgrace. Save Weathers Dodge in Lima, PA. This family-owned business has been serving their customers and the community for over 87 years and have won many awards. Doesn't that count for anything?REPORT COMMENTS

While we have not been customers for all of its 87 years, Weathers Dodge has served our family well for a long time by providing us with fine cars and fine service. The organization's remarkable story was told so well at the DELCO Chamber luncheon just a few weeks ago when Weathers Dodge received the Family Business of the Year Award. Please do not close this dealership.REPORT COMMENTS

There is one way to make things hit home. Don't buy Chrysler or GM products. Ford has managed to go it alone and they are currently surviving without gov't help. These car companies started the assult many years ago when they started importing steel from China and other nations to cut costs as well as quality and jobs here. You see alot of older cars that have sat in the elements outside that don't rust through. These new cars your lucky to get them out of warranty without rust on them. There is a cost of outsourcing and a reason things were obtained cheaper. Why should taxpayers pay for the decisions these companies made years ago that started the errosion of our nation. Lets get smart America. You had a closed system that money paid for products was recycled to the companies and workers producing the products. Now we pay and pay, costs paid got cheaper for the companies but the products prices still went up. Now people can't afford to buy like they could before and what they can buy the money goes overseas to other nations. Great plan. Tax the heck out of imports and give breaks to company's that produce the products here on our soils with our workers. That would be a government that was working for OUR people. Myself I will never buy a Chrysler or GM vehicle again. I'll wait to see how Ford fairs for now. I've never owned a foreign car to this day but if Ford ends up taking a similar path I may be forced to one day.REPORT COMMENTS

The potential closing of Tarbox Chrysler Jeep seems like another example of "cutting off your nose to spite your face". The Tarbox family has a proven track record of providing exemplory service, has continually been the sales leader for Chrysler/Jeepin the region and has given back to the community with charitable endeavors for decades. That they are faced with having to close their doors to the public who has come to depend on them, and the loss of jobs (in a state in the top five in the country for unemployment) seems not only unfair, but underhanded. If this is how an American based company treats their loyal dealers and consumers it is not a wonder more and more of us will be buying from foreign based companies. Wake up and do the right thing by working to keep Tarbox Motors in business for another 85 years.REPORT COMMENTS
