You (the USA GOV, people we were fooled into voting for by a false handling of the Truth) cannot make decisions by people who have never been in the car/or any other retail business for their total living. Bureacracy stinks at this level because you all have ZERO experience and have lived guilded lives on our dollar compared to the majority of your constituents. Please use common sense and have empathy, even though you have no experience to render a decision. Just ask your voters this time .instead of doing whatever the hell you please and cashing your subliminal checks. (that you don't think we public know you get)REPORT COMMENTS

I am confused on several fronts with regards to the government bail-out program. Confused as to why only certain businesses were singled out as being vital to the economy. Confused that the government wants to take a hands-off position on running a business that has accepted taxpayer money to assist in keeping it afloat. Confused that the government is permitting these bail-out companies to violate contracts and strong-arm the workers into making more concessions. What about all the workers jobs that are being eliminated in the name of "cost-cutting"? This is the United States. The government should be stopping these companies from shipping our livelyhood overseas all in the name of the bottom line. Yes it's legal, but it's still wrong! Got to get off the soapbox now. DO THE RIGHT THING. JohnREPORT COMMENTS

Union Dodge in Garden Grove, CA is on the list to be closed. We bought a car from them earlier this year and received outstanding service. We had visited Tuttle Click in Irvine, CA and Capistrano in SJC, CA and would not have purchased a car from either dealership yet neither one of them is on the closure list. Had it not been for Union Dodge, we probably would not have purchased a Dodge!REPORT COMMENTS

Where are we living by the constitution? Where are we FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE? HOW CAN THIS BE AMERICA? Chrysler hand picked the Bankruptcy court. Chrysler hand picked the Judge. Chrysler thinks by sending me a $1000 voucher for a NEW CHRYSLER PRODUCT will change my feelings. Chrysler is closing dealerships that have been in business for some 50 + years Chrsyler and our government took my taxpaying dollars to put ALL these dealers out of business. I am sending my voucher back to Chrysler with the words F--- YOU!!!!! written on it, they couldn't give me $10,000 to buy Chrsyler product. I will NEVER EVER PURCHASE FROM CHRYSLER or FIAT OR OBAMA MOTORS AGAIN!!!!REPORT COMMENTS

Stop the illegal intrusion into the private sectors by this questionable administration. This is a blatent violation of our Constitution by Barak Hussain Obama to destroy our economy and to drive us into a Venezulian style dictatorship by him and his backroom cronies Ayers and Soros. They are using the bailout as a cover to pay-off contributing cronies on the left with free transfers of dealerships. If no one can see this going on and their constant attacks on our rights and Constitution, as well as our Veterians and Patriots, this Country is farther gone than I thought. Why isn't this administration being charged through the Supreme Court with numberous violations of our Constitution and Law. God is on High not in the White House. This Country should start praising God our Father and our true heroes not this self proclaimed savior that occupies our White House now.REPORT COMMENTS

Once again, only thinking of the immediate here and now instead of trying to determine how to correct the problem. Fewer dealers plus higher prices times (the number of current Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep owners divided by fewer points of service raised to the power of mechanics no longer able to give the time necessary to do the work). Go ahead...do the math. It equates to the customer going the compitition (foreign auto products) because the consumer can afford their product and can count on the quality which results in Chrysler going even deeper into the hole. They cut off their nose to spite their face and in the end will have nothing. How can I have any faith in a company that makes these kinds of decisions.REPORT COMMENTS

How arrogant and irrespomsible for Chrysler Corporation to even THINK of doing this. I got out of the car business 25 years ago because there was no common sense and this proves that it has only gotten worse. The arrogance of Chrysler Corporation to bite the very hands that have fed them for decades is madness. How can Chrysler even think about eleminating the very people who have kept Chrysler Corporation alive for decades? This is likely the brainchild of some "bean counter" who has no reasoning power other than his or her perception of "the bottom line" and is obviously clueless about how the car business works. It is all about SERVICE, people: NO SERVICE, NO CUSTOMERS; it is that simple! The nearest town to me with Chrysler dealerships is 45 miles away and that is if those dealerships aren't closed! So, tell me then, why I should drive 45 miles to buy one AND get it serviced? Does Chrysler Corporation honestly think its customers are THAT LOYAL?? Probably not, at least when it comes time to trade off the one that they now own. So, what about those who now own a Chrysler product? Pity the poor person or company that has purchased one, much less a fleet, in a small community like ours who will not be able to get it serviced locally. Is that Chrysler Corporation's definition of customer service? Is that Chrysler Corporation's definition of customer satisfaction? The petition is right, closing these dealerships will only further Chrysler Corporation's competitors' edge, as this type of foolishness should. Chrysler Corporation does not even have the respect for those people who have kept them alive to buy back their vehicle and parts inventories, tools, etc., much less service the owner's vehicle. What does that say to the consumer about Chrysler Corporation's faith in its own product? It says that Chrysler Corporation does not even think enough of its product to own it, so why should anyone else? If Chrysler Corporation does this, it will reap all that it deserves, but the American tax payer will, as usual, end up paying the bill because people will certainly stop buying them, at least in in the rural areas, as they should. What does that say about what Chrysler Corporation thinks of those of us in rural areas? It does not take a college degree to figure that one out, does it? Several years ago I made a decision that I would never buy another Chrysler product and this proves my decision was a wise one. Chrysler Corporation, if I were you, I would WAKE UP nefore it's too late!REPORT COMMENTS

I have worked for the last 19 years for a small family owned Dodge Dealership. Not only do I rely on them for a weekly income, many other distributers (parts, office supplies, cleaning supplies ect..) along with the lawn company, power company, tax office, cleaning company and many others. The people who really loose out are our loyal customers who will have to drive 50 miles each way to have there cars service done. This closing affects so many people in our small town which is stressed out as it is.REPORT COMMENTS
