Know the facts from Americans before posting anything. ABOLISH H1-B: Infosys got 25,322 H-1B visas for the year 2016 alone. I am sure it might have brought another 2000-3000 people on L1/B1 visas in the year 2016. So, totally, they stole almost 30,000 jobs from US job market in 2016 alone in the form of H1-B and L1 visas. When any one asks Infosys about it, it says they got the H-1B visas because of skills gap and tells the people that they could not find the people with right skills and hence brought the people on H-1B. That is a complete BS. Infosys using "SKILL GAP" as NARRATIVE to bring cheap IT workers on H1-B visas. Most of the people Infosys brought in on H-1B are entry level programmers. God only knows how many more H-1B visas that they have applied for the year 2017. Now, Infosys is saying that they will create 10,000 jobs in the local US market for the next 2 years. When Infosys stole 26,000 jobs from US market in 2016 alone and telling the american people that they will create 10,000 jobs in US market for the next 2 years, does it make any sense? Please think about it. Infosys is just trying to SHIFT THE FOCUS OF THE PEOPLE from stealing the US JOBS to creating the jobs, which is a complete BS. Also, most of the people who come on H1-B visas work as contractors and the visa is valid for 3 years and it can be extended for another 3 years. So, in total all these H1-B people will be stealing the jobs for the next 6 years. The people who got 25,000 H1-B visas from Infosys will be stealing these 25,000 jobs every year for the next 6 years from American workers. If you take total 85,000 H-1B visas quota per year, so totally the american people will be loosing 510,000 jobs over next 6 years. On top of that, they also bring people from India on L-1 visas who also work at client locations some times. Over the period of next 6 years, that number also goes into thousands. So totally, these offshore companies are STEALING more than HALF MILLION US IT JOBS for the next 5-6 years. If they steal more than HALF MILLION jobs from US job market, what jobs are left for american people? There won't be any jobs left for american people. One more thing, if the US Government allows H-1B spouses also to work on dependent H-4 visas, then we will be loosing close to 1 MILLION US JOBS. Please DO NOT ALLOW THE SPOUSES OF H-1B PEOPLE TO WORK ON H-4 VISAS AS IT WILL LEAD TO MORE AMERICAN JOB LOSSES AND WILL BE A DISASTER FOR AMERICAN PEOPLE TO FIND THE JOBS. I think it is the time to stop this flawed H-1B visas completely and start giving the jobs to american people who are looking desperately for jobs. To STEAL THE US JOBS in the form of H-1B visas, the INDIAN IT OFFSHORE COMPANIES are using "SKILL GAP" as NARRATIVE. The US IT COMPANIES also using the same "SKILL GAP" as NARRATIVE to hire the foreign workers on H1-B visas (instead of hiring the US WORKERS) so that the US IT companies can save BILLIONS OF DOLLARS. By looking at this "SKILL GAP" as NARRATIVE, we can easily understand that there is a calculated, evil and shady understanding between US IT COMPANIES and INDIAN OFFSHORE COMPANIES to hire the cheap H1-B visa applicants there by undermining the american workers. Also, please keep in mind that if any NEWSPAPER (or) WEBSITE talks/publishes articles positively about H1-B, please think that those so called NEWSPAPERS and WEBSITES are just publishing the fake PAID NEWS at the behest of the Indian outsourcing companies and some US companies to import the cheap labour. These H1-B supporting NEWSPAPERS/WEBSITES are puppets of the Indian outsourcing companies to loot the US jobs from americans. Please now is the time to END this H1-B VISA MESS ONCE AND FOR ALL. -

For Someone from Kearny, NJ: With due respect I disagree your comments. I didn't get this job just because I accepted a low pay than my caliber. Employers will be in much trouble if they only hire folks because they are working for lower wage without necessary skill sets and not deliver the work which puts their business in threat. I don't think I snatched anybody's job because my current job was advertised almost for a month plus time in 3 of the major job boards. I had to clear 3 rounds of interview to get this job. There was no runners alongside while I interviewed for this role but they indeed screened applicants before me. Again, I found this as a golden opportunity to get back to workforce and support my daughters preschool and the wage didn't stop me. It's better than sitting idle at home and it's each persons preference to go along or wait until the dream job comes. I had already waited for years without able to work.REPORT COMMENTS

For someone from Minneapolis, MN - Exactly for your reason H4 EAD need to be revoked. You are okay for underpaid because its your second income which is bad for others. You took away somebody's else job which can be theirs primary income. Typical non skilled Americans do 1-2 jobs just to meet everyday needs. You took that job to send your kid to pre school, what about the kid whose parent cannot provide basic needs or food /shelter as he/she is jobless.REPORT COMMENTS

Jan 2nd, 2018Someone from New Bern, NC writes:
Please do not revoke H4 EAD. Concerns raised in above request justify increasing background verification in IT and hiring of genuine candidates for jobs, which should be done in every sector. Many H4 EADs are well qualified and have performed well in their jobs. My wife, an MBA with 5 years of strong experience in Banking, couldn't work in US for long time since we have been waiting for Green Card. She was very depressed staying home and doing nothing. She lost confidence in herself. We were going through very difficult time. In 2015, once she got her H4 EAD, she worked really hard to get back in the workforce. It was difficult for her to get job because she had large gap in the resume. she kept trying and eventually got something which was far below her caliber but she was just happy to get out of the house. H4 EADs stealing US jobs is simply untrue. you can read many people sharing stories how they created jobs in US using h4 as vehicle. Right now unemployment in US is about 4% which is very low. People who are not working either don't want to work or ineligible due to failing background tests or unqualified. Many small and large corporations are looking for qualified candidates for positions. It will be very unfortunate if a decision is made to revoke H4, this will just create more unfilled positions in companies which will slow the growth and create unwanted work pressure on working crowd. I have been in US 14 years and still don't have Green Card due to US's broken immigration system. H4EAD is at least helping with my wife to work while we wait for GC to come. The focus should be to fix the immigration system so GC can be provided quickly to people who are qualified; people who want to work can work and can support family and the country they live in.REPORT COMMENTS

Please do not revoke H4 EAD, after years of break in resume, I finally started working few months after the H4 EAD was offered for the spouses of i140 approved H1Bs. It helps me to support financially and send my daughter to a preschool she loves, we have to pull her out of the school if the H4 EAD is revoked. After years of waiting, I accepted a position which I genuinely believe I'm underpaid but went with it for my daughter's education and fill the break in my resume. I don't support Visa abuse and request USCIS to come with better systems instead of following lottery and come up with a stringent rule in granting H1/ H4 EAD Instead of revoking altogether completely. We have spent 9 years in this great country and I have finally started working which gave me a sense of hold in my life and a fulfillment Instead of sitting idle at home for years. Please do not revoke H4 EAD but again come up with diligent rules, punish Visa abuse, fake Resume job seekers, etc., etc., but don't punish the souls who finally were able to work with a genuine background. From my experience, I honestly believe any American is given preference over hiring aliens by hiring managers. It's only because of lack of talents/ bright talents, immigrants are getting opportunities and not given a job startaight away just with a work authorization. We do contribute to this economy paying taxes back.REPORT COMMENTS

Please revoke H4 EAD as soon as possible. H4 EAD's are suppressing the wages across all job markets as there is No Minimum Wage Requirement: H-4 EAD does not have a prevailing wage determination as in mandated under the H-1B program. There is also no minimum qualification requirements either. Most of them do not have the experience or skills. This only serves the purpose of low wage Unrestricted Employment across all job classification: The H-4 EAD comes with no restrictions on the nature of employment- unlike H-1B where an individual is vetted for qualifications, minimum wage requirements and must be employed in certain 'specialty occupations' only when qualified citizens are not available.REPORT COMMENTS

I want to share my story as to why I do not want H4 EAD to be revoked. I have done my Masters from India in Computer Science in India. I worked two years building web applications for a Government and was getting paid well. I married a man for love and not to enter America. My husband has done his MS from LA and is the Director of Engineering in Walmart Labs. After coming to America I did a full-time course in Database from University of Santa Cruz so that I could get a job here. I have worked on an EAD for two years and done a great job. I am definitely not stealing anyone’s job. 1. I have the right to work and earn for my family and nobody should be taking it away. 2. If my H4 EAD is revoked then make my Green Card processing faster. Why should it take 12 years? 3. Problem is noone has a solution. Rather than just blaming each other lets work together as people not politicians to find a solution. I don’t know who is listening but remember spouses with H4 EAD are the ones who have waited for GC for 10 years. Please don’t take away a human’s right to work.REPORT COMMENTS
